Kind of an extension of the comments I made recently on the last page, but I have this theory/ hypothesis going that the process of exiling people or dealing with criminals/ prisoners in the past involved sending them down this hole like this scene:

If this is the case and I am onto something, I can see Toris getting upset and saying this if his human memories of being sent down have been awoken.
Now that Toris is bell free, I wonder if that means he will turn against the humans?
