I’m starting to notice a trend of really big demons showing up in the next page if the previous page contains a wide shot at the end… Makes me wonder who’s memory the world is reacting to now, or if it even needs an unaware person to do this stuff.
Also I just love that demon monument/turret every time we get to see the wall.
Noridun must have been a really beautiful city before it became a demon quarantine; I guess it still is thanks to that one guy, but the impending sense of doom and isolation makes it harder to appreciate.
I guess that’s what happens when you have demon masons around for hundreds/thousands of years doing nothing but construction.
I’m going to hazard a guess that Toris was once a human. Something happened (that we haven’t seen yet) that changed him into a demon. Upset his close friend, I’m guessing Kori, from a few pages back eventually couldn’t take it any longer and committed suicide. What gave it away for me was his interactions to Toris finding that one scroll that the friend wanted to keep as a memory.
I found this whole background scene touching. Tragic and yet fascinating. It makes me wonder if Toris was a person if other demons might have been humans as well.
Oh.
Oh indeed.
I knew it! Cute in any form, not just happened-to-share-name-of-other-cute

Oh look, Smoke(or dust)!
I think we finally get to figure out who/what the wall was for. Can’t believe I didn’t notice that until now.
