Now that we have an idea about demons, their relationship with focus stones and all that, perhaps that sheds new light into Toris and Halin’s fate here:

They talk about stone ships appearing near the harbor. They are off to go to a play. Threats of being exiled. I really am curious to see what happened during that time frame.
It is also worth noting that Scrib’s focus stone (finding stone) appears to be active in the scene. We see the bird. I am unsure yet if the bird is activated by Scrib and flying through space/time or if the stone was active before with another character using it. Hard to say at this point. It is also hard to say if Toris sees the bird or not. It appears like he does and is startled.
Anyalin has not yet spoken of her visions of Stonebreaker: when she falls on top of him after seeing TORIS turn into a skeleton, when she becomes Tenid on the stone bridge, on the platform with the two guys in the strange armor.
I suspect that the answer to the question of what the Noridi did is related to page “memories-2” where someone someone tells Koris “But his MEMORIES…” and Koris replies “It’s just too big a risk”. I vaguely suspect that Koris took that risk after Toris died.
There had to be some time between Toris supposed death and the time Koris jumped into the pit. We see scenes from that time period of him interacting with demon Toris before eventually making the decision to dive into the well.
