Good idea to look behind you while astral traveling with a demon magnet/ power source.
That said, did Anya drop it soon enough? Is her hand melting?

She’ll probably want to wash her hands though.
Looks like the demon powering the barrier stone is ready to escape like the demon powering the laser stone did with the Tatchan priest. What a comedown though for Anyalin, even if she had the view of her city from above and handled the barrier stone like king Tenid and chief priest Koris.
The question that needs resolving though is why the search bird pointed her to the barrier stone then. Accident? Fate playing a trick? We’ll see in the next few pages I guess.
Maybe Toris can take the stone and “plug” it in where it needs to go? I wonder if a demon picks it up would it have the same risks as a human picking up the stone?
