It’s obvious that Toris was never a builder, a farmer, or a fighter (do demons have lovers?). That he was – and is – an intellectual is pretty apparent but he is also something way more than that. His memories may not be as sharp as they once were but he’s plugged into the motion of the spheres in ways that even Anya cannot comprehend. We know that she is hoping to find her brother’s cure. What is Toris looking in the scrolls for?
